TA Together

A practical learning collaborative for nonprofit outcomes measurement and funder reporting

Your team knows your work matters. Make it easier to measure and explain.

TA Together is a six-week learning collaborative from Summit Survey Research. Through shared learning sessions and private support, your team will strengthen how it measures outcomes, improve one or two practical tools, and build a clearer approach to funder reporting.

We are looking for six agencies for our January 2027 pilot.

Turn the data you collect into something your team can use

Is your team unsure which outcomes to track, collecting surveys that rarely inform decisions, or rebuilding reports for each funder? TA Together combines peer learning with hands-on help to move one program or reporting challenge forward.

You do not need an evaluation specialist or a polished data system. The pilot is designed for nonprofits starting their measurement journey as well as teams ready to strengthen an existing approach.

Practical tools, not just training

  • An Impact Readiness Scorecard identifying strengths and next steps.
  • A clear impact framework connecting your activities to the outcomes you want to achieve.
  • A focused measurement plan and definitions for priority indicators.
  • A reporting crosswalk connecting those indicators to selected funder requirements.
  • One or two improved, editable tools, such as a participant survey, KPI tracker, or data collection template.
  • A 6–12 month Impact Roadmap with owners and manageable next steps.

Six weeks of shared learning and private support

Learn alongside a small cohort while working privately with Summit on your organization’s own priorities.

  1. Diagnose: Share the materials you already have. Summit reviews your surveys, reports, grant metrics, and spreadsheets and delivers your Impact Readiness Scorecard.
  2. Listen: Join a shared learning session and a private working conversation. Leave with clear pain points and agreed priorities.
  3. Align: Refine the outcomes your program can reasonably influence. Receive an impact framework and an initial connection to funder reporting needs.
  4. Measure: Review what you collect and what is missing. Receive a focused measurement plan and practical recommendations.
  5. Improve: Put the learning to work. Summit improves one or two priority tools and provides instructions your staff can use.
  6. Roadmap: Review your toolkit and share lessons with the cohort. Leave with a 6–12 month Impact Roadmap.

What your team brings

Choose one program or reporting challenge and designate a staff lead with access to relevant program and data colleagues. Bring existing materials, such as a grant report, participant survey, logic model, or tracking spreadsheet. Starting with incomplete materials is welcome.

For planning, allow approximately 12–16 hours for your lead across six weeks, with additional contributions from program or data staff. We will confirm the schedule, staff commitment, and scope together before enrollment.

January 2027 pilot

Six participating agencies. Six weeks. Pilot investment: $2,500–$3,000 per organization. Final scope, schedule, and price will be confirmed before enrollment.

As a pilot participant, you will help shape the program through candid feedback. Any use of a testimonial or identifiable case study will require your separate permission.

Questions you may have

Do we need good data already?
No. We begin with what you have and identify practical next steps. You can participate without an existing logic model or formal evaluation system.

Will this help with funder reporting?
Yes. We will connect priority outcomes and measures to selected reporting requirements, so your staff can see what to collect and how it fits. This is not grant writing or a guarantee of funding.

Is this a full impact evaluation?
No. This is a focused capacity-building program. It helps you improve measurement and reporting; it does not establish that your program caused an outcome or replace a full evaluation study.

What stays private?
Organization-specific materials and working support stay private. Shared sessions focus on common challenges and examples you agree to share. A sponsoring funder does not automatically receive your private materials.
